Hellooo, I want to quit my current job but I’m dreading doing it in person. I need to collect my last check though. If I do it over text can they just mail me the check? What should I say in the message? Should I just quit in person ?? Thanks in advance! context: quitting because they do not speak to me as one of the fellow adults working. I often feel disrespected as they have a condescending tone.

It seems you can't make any progress or get anywhere while you are doing a thousand things at the same time or something, like running in place. At the same time, because you get to see so many different places/companies/etc. they all seem to kind of blur together, like it is all the same story wherever you go. I always really wanted an adventurous life, but it seems like being stuck in going from one job to the next completely stifles that desire. Treading water

I have a friend at work, I’ll call him O. O was born and raised in Ukraine, and moved here to Canada on work visa and got a job as an engineer. During O’s contract, the war started, and with his contract finished, he had to get a job where I work (a grocery store) so he would not get deported back to Ukraine. He does his job well, but struggles a bit with English. During a briefing from my boss, I was told to keep an eye on O. Manager told me they might fire him because he doesn’t speak English very well. He speaks English fine, but just has a very strong accent, in conversation, he may miss a few words, but you can understand him fine if you focus.
