I don’t want to be a part of your corporate nightmare.

A few days ago I posted: https://reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/137xmvt/we_need_to_talk_about_population/ It was interesting to see on both the Work Reform and Antiwork sub that it met with people not aware enough to realize that the products produced by the corporations were for the population.. Or people priding themselves on awareness and empathy were completely devoid of realizing the themes of “Out of sight out of mind” and “Destructive Domination”. Same childish dismissal that arguments for unions, worker reform, inequality are met with… I am starting to realize that the reason the world is so shitty is because the culture and character of the world is very much shared between the top and the bottom. There is a mentality that if people want to recognize or not is just as poisonous in all demographics in our world.

So I work at a Doggy Daycare, I got promoted to supervisor today and got a $1 dollar raise from $16.50-$17.50. that's cool I guess. The past 3 supervisors have all quit within 2 years of getting the position… Wish me luck

Back story – been with this company for 9 months now. There was literally no training involved and I had to figure out estimating processes on my own (industrial coating company) I find out a month ago I need double bypass heart surgery. I’ve kept my employee updated in every step of the process. Monday I asked about work from home options during the few weeks of recovery. Today (Friday) I was fired. Reason given: “it’s just not working out” No performance reviews, no complaints or concerns brought to my attention before this. And as a matter of fact just received a bonus for the amount of estimates I performed last quarter. Now – no insurance = no heart surgery No income = need to find a new job = can’t look/start during heart surgery recovery Was scheduled for June 2nd – so ….yeah
