I work as a receptionist at a local gym. Recently there's been a string of bad luck between the employees, I got hit by a car while on my bike, my co-worker lost a lifelong friend and another co-worker and her toddler are both incredibly sick. Our managers have forced us to either find coverage while dealing with everything or come in, which can be a hazard if they're sick. The managers refuse to reach out to people to find coverage for us and complain when they have to cover shifts. The level of entitlement is baffling and I'm working on unionizing. But I feel that they'll fire me before I get too far.

Yes it is during working hours, but he is a salaried employee and is expected to hit certain numbers each month. 4 hours a month would really cut into that time. Can they make him “join a book club”? On a side note: the book is “Dare to Lead,” I also saw this book sitting on my boss’s desk (completely different industry) and I know for a fact he isn’t the type to read this on his own. Did the CEOs all have a conference or something?
How do I quit my job

Is everyone unprofessional?
So my husband applied to a few jobs yesterday. He got a reply back from all of them, but one more than others stood out and was closer to home. He was suppose to meet with a guy for an interview today and when my husband showed up for the interview the guy didn’t show up. My husband called him to see if there was something that had come up like an emergency or if he was just running late. The guy basically dodged his call and sent him an automated can I call you later text. Still hasn’t heard from the guy. What the hell is wrong with people and their lack of professionalism and consideration of others peoples time?

I am working for a company that is integrating into another one that bought us out. This process has been happening for about 2 years now and it has been messy. We are not fully integrated yet so we are still operating as two different companies with jointed communication. This means that the other company won’t get access to our systems but we are slowly getting access to theirs to align with their processes. I was asked if I’d be interested in making a lateral move (which means no extra pay) into the new companies equivalent position (this is going to happen at some point anyway) so we sent up a meeting to go over the job roles and they’re basically the same as what I do currently except I just need training on their systems and some policies / procedures. I agreed to make this move and met with…
