My schedule is from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 17:00 I have “one” hour break from 12:00 to 13:00 From last year, being fed up with my job, I started leaving for lunch early, 10-15 mins. This year I started to come back after 13:00, like 5 minutes. Making numbers, I have being getting extra 15-20 mins a day, 80-100 mins a week, 4 hours a week, 50 hours a year. Thats without counting the 10-20 times a day I go to the bathroom (with my cellphone) for 10-30 minutes each time. Nobody has noticed so far. If they had, they dont seem to care. Lets see how far we can take this…
Category: Antiwork
I was picking up some greenery for the festivities today, and they were using plastic storage containers with the numbers corresponding to our tickets in line written on them to keep track of who was getting what. When I got to the register, the budtender had a stool where he could place the container, and he said to the other budtender taking over for him (he was going on break) “Can we make these things permanent? It’s so nice to have somewhere to put these!” The other budtender says “No, they won’t let us. They don’t want to have somewhere for us to sit, they think it makes us look lazy.” I couldn’t believe it. You’re selling weed, I sell booze for a living right up the street and I can sit WHENEVER I want to; my boss knows my back isn’t great and taking a break inbetween customers isn’t…
That will teach you to get shot at work.
No more mandatory overtime for training.
Ouch. This hurts deep within my soul.
This hurts deep within my soul.
I'm working at a fast paced warehouse and wonder how the people there could laugh and be really productive on a high paced packing job. Do they take cocaine?
Encouragement
I know people vent a lot here, but I have been seeing so many negative posts all over about how horrible the market is and it’s been making me feel so hopeless. I’ve been feeling like there’s no hope to get to a place where I make more than breaking even, and how you can’t find a job without knowing people through networking (I have very few connections) and I could use some encouragement. Anyone have any positive stories where they went from horrible jobs to something stable?
