I work for a “nonprofit”

And I sat through an hour long meeting Wednesday going over what our margins are and why. Talked about why they had to do layoffs, can’t pay a couple bucks more, and how heartbreaking it is. Etc etc. But I just looked up what the CEO makes and it’s about 5 million. With some other people making some pretty millions too. I work for one of the only departments operating in the green. I make $17.66 and hour with a 3% raise every year. Full time and can’t afford to live without a roommate. Catholic organization too. I think Jesus would be like….you guys started out right then fucked it up somewhere along the way. Someone explain to me non profit because it feels a lot like capitalism to me.

It’s with a very heavy heart that I disclose to my close friends and colleagues the tragic news that the part time position I applied for as a Ramp agent for American Airlines almost 6 and a half years ago in August of 2016 has decided to move forward with other candidates.

Thoughts and Prayers.

Conflicted on what I should do

I start a new job soon, and the same day that the new job wants me to start is the same day I get a bonus from my current job. I am considering calling in “sick” to my first job and then just going to my new job and then emailing my boss that that will be my last day. would this work? any advice?

Rejected after six interviews and sever weeks

Valtronic Technologies, Solon Ohio. Hiring manager is Roy S. I had five interviews with this company over seven weeks for a program manager role. First was a phone screening. Then an on site visit with four people, all from the PM team. Then a call with the hiring manager. Then another on site interview with three people present; one from operations and one from engineering . Then another phone call with the hiring manager three weeks later. Kept asking similar questions the entire time. Kept telling me how I was hand picked for the role and how I had excellent experience. Kept getting great feedback from the hiring manager. Call today to ask for an update. Was told they had an internal candidate and wanted to give them a chance to grow their project management career… as if I wasn’t worthy of the same?! For all of the time and…
