Ughhhhhhhhhhhh I have to go into work for an extra two hours tomorrow and I couldn't be more miserable!!! I hate going to the most rancid place in town I literally feel like I work at the hell factory, and for literally minimum wage!! I don't know how they did it but they got me to go from receptionist to receptionist + billing. And then receptionist + billing + janitorial + equipment upkeep + social media manager + a ton of other shit. For minimum wage!!!!!! I want to quit so fucking bad but there's not many other places I can work right now that will accommodate my disability. Not like here does, of course, but I got my foot in the door. I just wish it didn't feel like they slammed it on my foot as soon as they could!!! I just want to make a living wage but…

A short while ago, I agreed to a job offer over the phone and I won't be meeting with HR until tomorrow. My friend expressed congratulations and inquired about the job benefits, which made me realize that I hadn't considered that aspect. I've always had jobs with standard benefits like two weeks of paid time off, holiday pay, and 401k. Upon reviewing the job application, I only found flexible scheduling and employee discounts listed as benefits. This has led me to suspect that the job may not offer any benefits, including a 401k. Should I ask HR about this during my meeting with them tomorrow?

I had a thought earlier… it seems thay the long game is to replace the workforce with children… First Roe V Wade – ensure lots of children, obviously mostly from poor families. Oh no all these child labour violations coming to light… that wont do… better change the law! Because if adults wont work for peanuts maybe the children will! I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Corporations for which it stands, one nation under Capitalism, invisible, with liable and injustice for all.

So I posted here a little bit ago with an uplifting tale of a great manager and great work culture. Well I just got fired/quit from there. I went to put in my notice and he told me “just fucking go home”. I have no idea what happened, it felt like someone just flipped a switch on his back. I started in mid March and picked up the job duties really quick, to a point that I was complimented by my trainer and the manager in question. Soon it got to a point where I started being the go-to person for my department (in April). I was doing great, loved the job, and was even being approached for potential leadership in the future. Then suddenly may hits and I've become enemy number 1. I'm being side eyed and given the cold shoulder. That escalated to snide remarks about my rate…

During a corporate town hall meeting today, the CEO said the reason he's pushing for people to be back in the office: “I get my energy from people, so it makes me happy to see folks back in the office.” Great to know this really just comes down to ego and his personal extroverted preferences.

Let me start off by saying when a promotion from part time to full-time came available I applied for it and thought I presented myself well. I was declined because I was pretty new to the company about 6 months. My boss told me I didn't get the position but he let me know he was super impressed by my drive and thought a lot higher of me after the interview. He told me a third full-time spot would be opening up next year (this was back in November) and he wants me to apply because there is a good chance I'll get it. The few times we actually talked about it I brought it up and he's like “I could give you the promotion now (January) but it would work better for close to June as that's when most college students will be getting out and quitting”. Well, the text says it all, I worked from home on that day to take care of my kid, and when I went to make breakfast, I got an invite 2 minutes after to a “important” meeting, I checked my phone to be sure that I was not needed later and I got a team text from my boss saying to join the meeting so I rushed in. A few days later I got a the warning and I told them that this was BS and instead of giving me a verbal warming why no one talked to me before hand? after so many years I have never being late and I explained the situation, well they said “we will look into this” and to this date I am still waiting. 🙂
