You won't care about that week you starved if for the rest of your life you have more than enough.

My paycheck has getting smaller and smaller each time recently last month and I was trying to figure out why. As far as I know I haven't signed up for any of the benefits or signed up for insurance and I don't know if California is increasing it taxes. My coworked told me to check my pay stubs on my financing account. I try login to my finances account and I get an error page. I sent a ticket to IT, they said they closed my complaint because they already reset it. I replied and showed them that I still wasn't able to access my account. The next day I get a message telling me I need to complete new training regarding phishing because I sent them a screenshot. They haven't told me they're trying to work on it and I still cannot login to my financing! Is this something…
Checked my phone to see 3 missed calls from my assistant store manager and the first text message pictured. The second text is after I said I wasn't able to come in. Didn't know I would have to put “Unavailable” on days I'm simply not scheduled so therefore made plans?
You can also email your city council to pass something similar! But First find your house rep (look up your state) https://www.ohiohouse.gov Go to contact at the top of the screen when you find your rep And your senate rep: (look up your state) https://ohiosenate.gov/members/district-map Press the email button below the address to email your senator. Now email them this or something similar. https://docs.google.com/document/d/12fhNatFMt_mPYtWLZqW3J_9RyJHe2YinmgGBvQZyt4Q/edit You can reword it or change it up but we can’t change anything if our legislators don’t know about it. Common sense changes! 🙂
Working from home isn’t actually work
https://www.forbes.com/sites/georgebradt/2023/05/02/why-those-working-remotely-are-heading-for-the-tragedy-of-the-commons/amp/ Gotta love the whole “You can't actually be working or improving yourself as an employee while writing for home because you're not actually at work”. I work at my physical job location and I promise you, I still answered most of these with a resounding “no”. Am I actually working because I'm at work? Of course not. I'm sitting here, acting like I'm doing something while getting the bare minimum done.
What can I do about this?
There’s nothing to see here.
Im a workaholic… pull 10-12 hour days regularly. Just trying to wonder why I feel bad for not working more. My boss works sundays. I enjoy and love my job but I feel if they are in the office then I should be in the office and I left at 6:30 PM after getting to work at 7:30 this morning and I feel bad #rantover #workaholic
STOP TIPPING!
https://youtu.be/q_fMkXHYh6c Stop tipping in America. Ill likely get downvoted to oblivion but out of control/expected tipping is only contributing to businesses being able to exploit workers for lower wages. Not getting tips from the public is not the issue. Employers not paying real wages is! What incentive do they have to fix it if the public keeps bailing them out? Have businesses ever chosen to go out and do the right thing without public pressure? I will happily not eat out while restaurants close down due to cheap ownership. Servers and others, this is NOT an attack on your money. It one of the only REAL solutions to receive legitimate wages from businesses. I from now on say “oh sorry, I dont tip” when asked and advise others do the same. Unless service is absolutely exceptional or a tip is actually warranted I now refuse to tip. Coffee shop? Nope.…
