I'm hoping I can actually score an interview with these fine people so we can discuss this is person. In the state of Oregon, can anyone with knowledge share the legal boundaries here and how to go about making sure this is reported in the most efficient way possible if applicable. https://preview.redd.it/i05chvns90ja1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&v=enabled&s=3f0eb184b3bb5c7a04d2bdee0f574bd0e897d96e
Hey guys, I currently work at a bowling alley (for now) and I’ve noticed some red flags at my work.. My work owns decks of playing cards that the public can borrow in a drawer. There are a few decks of cards that display pictures of nude women and pornstars. First off, I am a gay man and I do not want to see that, or any type of pornography while I am working. There have been 2 instances that a customer from the league will start showing me the cards. These situations made me very uncomfortable, I walked away from them as best as I could. I want to tell my manager about this but he’s owned the cards for so long, I just don’t want to start any drama, and just quit my job. One of my coworkers was talking about women in a VERY disgusting and disrespectful…
(this is about job conditions, maybe accommodations, I guess, but if not acceptable, please delete) I let a job go because it was based where there were: -escalators -elevators -more than 2 stories Has anyone else not taken/changed jobs because of this (or other reasons) to do with 9/11? There’s still places/buildings I can’t enter for work, and I was nowhere near New York, nor did I lose anybody in the attacks.
And not even going from 5×8 to 4×10. I mean going to 4×8 with no reduction in pay. IMO 4×10 defeats the purpose because of moving the hours around but I understand if people rather work the 2 extra hours.
I been working 9 years as a employee at my job. I come into work stay extra hours, and always come on call when ever they need me. I drop things sometimes because I really do believe in doing it for the team. I love to help. I am really enjoying my job and career driven. I do management work because I enjoy a challenge and always follow up with other employees because I am put in charge of there things to make sure things are running smoothly. I am given a lot of responsibility but am the same level as everyone else. I been doing this for years. I just always have one problem at work, and I feel its annoying. When I say I cannot do the work because its getting a lot they tell me (including my colleagues) please, cmon you don’t do shit around here! Or…
We are suppose to work 8 hrs a day, sleep 8 hrs a day, prepare home cooked meals and snacks, exercise, maintain a social and family life. Most likely have a side hustle or business to live comfortably. Live a little Friday evening, live a little on Saturday. Sunday we clean and get ready to do it all over again. This is so depressing.
