First off, I’m leaving my toxic workplace in 2 months after being here for two years. I’m so close, but I am so miserable every day. It got me thinking… those of you in similar situations, how do you stay happy each day? I just don’t want to feel this miserable for the next two months. The only things that somewhat work for me- having a countdown, focusing on my time outside of work. I just don’t know what to do to not hate life when I am here.

Harassment at work?? Am I overreacting?
Okay so I work in childcare, with babies. For awhile I worked by myself & the cook (M,30) would come and give me bathroom breaks & bring the food, etc. it was nice to have someone to talk to when he came in the room. M has a girlfriend T, that also works there. They both give off weird vibes but they were nice to be so I dismissed it. Well M started following me into rooms (like the laundry room) and just making excuses to hangout in my room for 30+ minutes. I went to my boss about this (this was in October) and they talked to him about it. So it stopped for awhile. Things came to a head when his gf told me verbatim “me and M are looking for a 3rd, don’t tell anyone” meaning like 3some or triad relationship. Now M being creepy just felt…
I hope this is permitted as I don't get any revenues from it. I just hope folks can laugh Here it is: https://instagram.com/corporatememos?igshid=ZDdkNTZiNTM= If you know others please share in comments Thank you!
I have worked in two different states, and in both states, the situation is much the same. But for many of you, it would absolutely shock and disturb you. But for a lot of you might not know what those positions are. If a student requires a paraprofessional, or several students in most cases, it means there’s significant intellectual emotional or physical needs that a single classroom teacher cannot support while supporting their 25 students. So they bringing someone like me. And well my job is to provide for support for that one student or two in the classroom, nine times out of 10 I’m providing support for all 25 students. This means providing alternative ways of figuring out the classroom assignment. Explaining the educational materials app levels each of the 25 students can understand. It means managing classroom behavior, to help the teacher. It means managing the classroom behavior…

Could it be sabotage?
I feel like ever since the railroad unions got punched in the face last November I've been hearing an awful lot more about derailing. I assume that hearing about it more in the media is simply because the Palestine disaster was huge news, and it was a trendy thing to talk about. So I guess I'm asking the question. Do you think this is all just a coincidence, or did people finally get mad enough to take matters into their own hands?
Somehow found a good place to work
It's retail, which I swore I'd never work again. Jobs at a mail depot sort of place. Not the most exciting job, but that's fine. My boss is the real reason I've stayed. She's incredibly flexible when it comes to hours and time needed. She often buys us lunch and/or breakfast simply because she wants to make sure we eat. She keeps a stocked break room full of drinks and more food. And she genuinely seems to care about us. It's so refreshing. On top of all this, she keeps us in the loop about the happenings with the business (she owns the store, it's a franchise). Just many things. Tl;dr my boss is fantastic and I wish more places were like this.
Going Waco on their asses!
Medical Extortion
Due to the dystopian state of the US healthcare system, out of control inequality and corporate greed, people with medical conditions and disabilities are often targeted as cost saving opportunities as layoffs loom and spring raise season is upon us. Imagine this, you’re a employee that has to take a 20-25k medication a month , If you pay cash/out of pocket. If you don’t get this medication , you become very ill and can even possibly die. If you are insured, this could be just a few dollars or even free depending on co-pays. Your employer knows about your condition, might even have an accommodation on the books for it. You start seeing a pattern, you’re passed up on promotions and raises over and over again. Even as you are meeting the requirements of your role. What’s going on ? The employer knows you won’t leave to seek better pay/roles…
