Ok guys I need your help. My boyfriend lives in California and works at a legal dispensary. He’s been written up for saying something to another employee. That is all the information he was given. They won’t tell him what he said or when it was. He is unable to fix any issue or make sure he doesn’t say it again because he doesn’t know what he said. They won’t give him any more information. Is this legal? Can you get written up and not told why? Thanks all. This is really upsetting because he loves his job and would never hurt someone intentionally.

Job won’t accept medical accommodations?
I got injured at this job a while back and reported it to my managers. After a few months, I still have symptoms and am receiving specialist treatment. I submitted a medical accommodations document signed by my doctor which was provided by the company, including a scanned document of my specialist physical therapy schedule. I indicated when the accommodations should start and end. They were very simple requests; no lifting no pushing for some time. The request disappeared, and I think they denied it. How do I approach this? (In U.S.)
I have said some insane s*** to various bosses over the years. Some of them I have said while in the process of quitting, but I'm looking for stuff you said to your boss and kept your job. I was working in a rent to own company, and while I was in the middle of whatever task I was doing, my store manager came over and asked me to do something. I looked him dead in the eye and told him “you're not the boss of me” He responded with “oh, right, sorry” and then he walked away! I couldn't believe that that had worked! He didn't ask me to do anything else all day. The next day, I was in the middle of doing something, and he came over and asked me to do something else for him. I tried it again. “Oh, right, sorr–hey, wait a minute… I…

Id love yalls help with digging up some info for these people. I want to vote on people who best align with the common worker. Any info regarding who they are, What theyve done, success, failure, controversy would go a long way in helping me and my group make an informed decision this year.
Withholding raises due to cancer
Has anyone filed a compliant with the EEOC in regards to and older employee who has documented cancer and misses time. It was confided in me our management has been holding their raises due to this employee missing time due to cancer. Is this legal?
As an alumni whose college experience was greatly enriched by these folks, I am so proud of them for doing this. 🥹 Many thanks to Andrew Goldstein and the Pittsburgh Union Press for reporting on this.
It just sounds like gaslighting and manipulating to me, to, you know, give us a green light to their abuse.
A little vent about not getting the job
Been with the company for 10 years, I work in a food distribution center and I have been in this DC a Quality control job was up so I applied as some of the other QC people asked me to. I've been in this DC since it opened and I find out today I didn't get the job, now normally I would just be a little upset but I heard from a coworker who also wanted to apply for it that the manager in charge of QC told him not to bother as he already had someone in mind, I am assuming that person probably got it. The grind is just really getting to me.
Get fucked
This is a bit of a rant, but I just don't understand why so many people think it's acceptable or even beneficial to work over retirement age. Do they not realize they've been conditioned to think that work equals fulfillment/purpose? Of course you're going to get bored and feel like you need a job if you've been forced to work your whole life.
