like, a genuine good reason. not just “all the landlords i have met are assholes” or “he's mean to me” but like a real in-depth explanation so i can better understand this community. ps. im genuinely asking. this isnt some strawman or gotcha moment or anything. just wondering why

Basically my job is 100% remote but I got really down during covid. Going to the office and having a routine really helps my mental health. And because I walk to work it helps my physical health. However, I absolutely love that my colleagues don't have to go because everyone that is in the office is happier to be there. Before covid people looked so much sadder. Even though I choose to go everyday I love that people aren't force to go. I don't often see this argument in the WFH conversation. Why would you want an office full of sad people?

I work grave yard from 10 PM to 6 A.M boss called and asked if I liked to work from 2-10 the same day (voluntarily) will be I getting split shift pay or overtime?
