Hi all, I’ve been lookin at all the forums about everyones saying to use the PTO before quitting. At the moment I have 15 PTO in which it will not be paid out per the contract. I also have a new job possibly starting in May. I’m not sure on how to go about using the PTO and giving the 2 week notice because I feel bad about using it last minute and that it won’t be approved. Should I just try to use the PTO asap even if it’s last minute notice and put my 2/3 weeks in during my PTO?

There are some technicalities/wording that I need to clarify on before making a career move. Thank you.
About 15mins into the interview I knew something wasn’t right by the questions I was being asked. HR then said the quiet part out loud. The job duties of this position were much more than the LinkedIn posting. The position was actually encompassing three positions. WTF. I was told the person leaving the position was making much less and with increasing the salary for this position they wouldn’t be hiring more. I played along and pretended to be interested. I never want to be rude. The person is leaving the job in 2 weeks and they actually asked me how many weeks I needed to give my current employer. I said 3 and they freaked out like they needed to hire asap. Felt bad for HR actually cause these positions are integral to their main revenue stream. Whoops on that CEOs part.

I am in a small IT company. I got this job right after I graduated from college and thought that it would be wonderful. However, it is the contrary. The boss is abusive and yells at people at the time. Everyone is scared of him. It is the unwritten rule that when he yells at you, you must acknowledge your mistake and apologize. Because the company has office in Asia, I have to attend meeting and talk to colleagues at night. Though it doesn't take too much of my time and they pay for your time, I found this annoying. One night at around 8pm when I was eating dinner, he requested an online meeting where he yelled at me and everyone for not understanding him and following his direction. He would direct the manager to fire people who disagree with him. As the owner, he is extremely authoritarian and…
The lack of safety and caring at my job
I work at one of the many Amazon warehouses in the USA. I’m here to remind people these corporations do not and will never care about us. I’ve worked here for a year and a half and have already seen a shooting in the parking lot and a bomb threat. We also have had upwards of a hundred vehicles broken into. What did this more money than god corporation do to ensure these things no longer happen? They have a guy in a truck at the entrance to the parking lot look at your badge. That’s it. Since this has happened multiple cars have still been broken into and the bomb threat happened recently. But don’t worry because we might have metal detectors on the way in to stop people committing atrocities but we have them on the way out to protect the profits. PROFITS OVER PEOPLE. That’s the motto.…
Name Calling and Groping
My boss is italian, authentic, old school style. I’ve been working for him for abt 7months and he has (jokingly, don’t call a case) grabbed my front parts as well as rubbed my back parts. We always laughed abt it, but i’m 17 and he’s abt 40. And tonight, i took out the trash and there were no bags left, i told me to put it in a different room and then proceeded to call me a “fucking idiot” to my coworkers. we’re open 6 days a week and i worked all 6 days last week, 5 days before last week too. i’m a full time student who is also running their own business. He said i don’t do shit for him or his pizza place, while actually i bend over backwards to make the place better. i do jobs that aren’t in my title, i always get told i…
Divide and conquer politics
All the rich politicians (dems and reps) are actually working together to keep us so focused on hating the other side that we don’t rebel and take them all down and fix the inequality we all see is happening right in front of our eyes. Same with the wealthy, they rig the system so that they remain wealthy and none of us can ever “win the game” and get wealthy ourselves. They invent bitcoin anonymously pump crypto and then regulate it once they’ve all got rich off of it. Same with stocks. They’ve pumped tech stocks for over a decade, kept interest rates low enough to cause a housing crisis again, and then got rid of every regulation & law stopping businesses from buying houses and continuing the housing crisis. While we can’t afford homes, businesses are just heading their money into a different asset class, housing. Why? Because it’s…
