Maybe it's because it's currently 1am and I can't sleep because of my chronic illness. Maybe it's because I know I have to get up tomorrow to go to a job I hate, with a toxic, unsympathetic boss (who doesn't believe in my disability) to fight them for basic accommodations to my disability, which they have been stalling constantly. Maybe it's because I know I physically can't do my job anymore because the pain is killing me and yet there's no alternative because the job market is in the gutter. I hate my job with a passion. I have been so depressed and miserable for months upon months now. I have applied to all kinds of jobs and I have yet to hear back from any of them! I am almost at my breaking point. I am overwhelmed, stressed and feel like there is no way out. I can not quit my job because I can't find another job and it is taking an extreme mental toll on me. I feel so trapped and not sure how much longer I can take at my current job !! Any advice ?

I’ve worked my ass off at every job that I’ve ever had and get burnt out each and every time. I always get taken advantage of because I say yes to doing everything since I’m worried that I’ll get fired. But I know my worth and the lowest wage that I’m willing to accept, and I want to stand my ground and not get walked over this time. It’s not worth my physical and mental well being to let it happen again. But because I don’t live in Montana I know that my employer can fire for me for basically anything, and I really need to keep my next job. So how do I stand my ground but also not get fired? I feel like if a manager hates you it’s only a matter of time.

People were complaining about my team lead and manager so I told them maybe all the departments need to sit down and talk and get on the same page and I got yelled at that they need to “follow the chain of command” and eventually had to literally sit down with the CEO because my team lead tried to mislead her about what I was asking. So. I’ve taken redundancy, I have asked for updates regarding my finish date amongst other information I need to seek further employment. However they have not communicated such with me in nearly 4 weeks other than “we’ll get back to you asap” to which I sent a follow up email today asking for the same things. Instead of an email back with the corresponding information, I get a voicemail saying they have read my email and to call me back. I text them saying I cannot talk and would like information to be in writing, they persist in me calling them. I repeat, that I would like everything in writing. What can be said in a call that can’t be said in an email? Within the time of this ridiculous exchange, they could have provided me the appropriate information I asked for 4 weeks ago.
