Do you think public ownership will help?
I’m with ya kid
So I have been given a risk of redundancy letter (it's set in stone, ignore the 'risk'). The company has been doing well recently and these cuts are completely unjustified except for trying to get others to be complete slaves (workloads others have is already enough, our responsibilities being shared among them will just be the straw that breaks the camels back) all day and optimise profits just a tiny bit. I have gone off sick for work related stress/mental health, signed off by a doctor until the end of this. Basically I have 2 weeks sick pay then up to 10 weeks at my managers discretion. They are still trying to do my redundancy consultations over the phone despite my sickness (is this allowed?), I want to delay my redundancy until I’ve been paid maximum sick pay, has anyone been through this before and knows how to navigate it?…
too much piss
recently i got called into HR bc my production wasn't 'up to par' and they had noticed i was taking alot of bathroom breaks. i literally have to pee like every 2 hours at work or out. the main issue was apparently that there are people in my department who are going over the production expected, so i asked if they would also be brought in because if you're going to have a problem with underperformance it's only fair that you have a problem with overperformance as well right? of course not, the underperformers need to step up their game. not that anyone's production value is effecting the departments overall performace, we've been slaying the day away according to everyone including the owner. I'm fucking sick of this place, I've been there for over a year and just now it's being brought up that i use the bathroom too much…
