I am a supervisor but I have a boss above me with no filter and constantly bragging in an attempt to make himself fit in more with the workers underneath him who severely dislike him because of his chaotic behavior, rude comments, and sense of superior being towards everyone. I have been out on paternity leave and got a call from one of the supervisors who regretted to inform me the boss said in a crowd of employees “I saw pictures of the baby it don’t look him, it looks like me.” It rubbed them all the wrong way and they told me. Before going to HR, I contacted the VP who is both our boss and he immediately disregarded the claim and defended/protected my boss. This is not his first HR violation as he has had at least 5 calls since last summer. I have not contacted HR hoping…
These people are pure evil
Shout out to my fellow hard workers ,especially those who run small businesses. Now granted I’ve been a workaholic since I’ve been a teen and need a vacation but she’s right. pic.twitter.com/PyyrYkmKRi— Erin Elizabeth Health Nut News (@unhealthytruth) March 20, 2023
boss wants to increase my hours
My boss wants to increase my hours, only by an hour, but when that makes my day 7am til nearly 6pm I'm not having it. I've got ongoing physical and mental health issues and being on my feet for an extra hour a day definitely is not gonna help with that. I plan on giving my 2 weeks in later this week when I see her, which I do feel a bit bad about because most of the staff go on holiday that same week, but fuck it. I need to focus on me
Other duties as assigned.
I'm an engineer who works remotely in the same city as the client I'm assigned to. My client has requested I come work in there office on a regular and permanent basis at least 75% of the time. I told my manager yes I can do this, but I would like a raise. Her answer was absolutely not this falls under “other duties as assigned.”. My response was that Ill be staying in my current role. I'm waiting for a response…..
Is PTO private information?
My office has a very sloppy executive setup. It's roughly a dozen people working for one boss, the entire point of the business is to serve his whims. I am trying to use my PTO but know that at least four people can see my info at any time; the lines of who does what work are so blurred, various people have been given the ability to check that information over time. Those people also are some of the most likely to run their mouth. Is PTO and other information related to benefits meant to be private?
