I literally just found out about it and I have no idea why it pisses so many people off. Like I'm jealous of households that can make it with one breadwinner. Hell it could even be a stay at home husband for all I care. It'd just be great affording everything you need and/or want on a singular paycheck. From what I've seen a lot of them are just like “Yup I quit my job and like being home doing households chores, spend time with my kids, etc. but you guys do you 🤷‍️” I'd love having a sparkling clean house instead of scheduling time to clean my fucking bathroom because I'm too exhausted after work. Or just being able to do what I want in the day. If you are a woman and enjoy working then props to you I just don't get why people are hating on women…

They hired an outside consulting company to come in a slash “redundant” teams with zero rubric. People on the verge of promotions, folks who drank the kool-aid and defended them, managers and directors — no one was sparred. And then they have the fucking audacity to say today in a big Q&A forum “there’s a voluntary severance option, we want you to want to be here, leave if you don’t”. (The voluntary severance isn’t as good as the lay off package). It’s nuts. Lol this is what cults do to strengthen loyalty. It has been kind of amusing watching all the kool-aid drinkers freak out though. Their beloved company tossed them away without even looking at their work. That’s what we are to them: a ducking number. Burn it all down.
My son has been working at Walmart Distribution, overnight shifts, while he completes his career/tech program at the local community college. He has been there a little less than a year, and has been a good man on the job, swapping shifts and training into multiple areas, popular with his bosses. A worker. He got an opportunity to get a head start in his career field with a new job. He scheduled himself an off-day and told one of his friendly managers he might be submitting a two-week notice next day. Cheers. Congrats. We love you but you're moving on up. Right? Wrong. While preparing to go back to work next day, he got a call from “the office” at the distribution center, who mentioned to him over the phone they'd heard he was putting in a two-week notice. They told him he could not return to work until he…
Pretty Accurate
They fired me. She cried.
So last week I was fired without any warning. I had been told I was doing a great job as team lead. I was involved with reviews that morning, then at the end of the day I was told my team was falling behind. They said I would take too long to fully train even though I hadn’t been trained for even an hour. I’m so confused…the clinic director cried and the manager offered me a letter of recommendation. What did I do wrong??? I’d feel better if I screwed up and they fired me, but out of the blue is driving me crazy. I’m so over working my ass off for it not to matter. Even the girl who constantly gets complaints about being rude/ named in 1star Google reviews is still there. I was there when she at least got to have a conversation with them. They constantly…
