No root, no fruit!
Like I see so many posts on this subreddit and it seems like 80% of us on this subreddit alone are just scraping by and won’t be able to live if inflation continues like this. What the fuck are the huge corporations gonna do when nobody can afford to live and therefore consume?
Work takes up so much time, and the time leftover is just spent being exhausted and dreading going back to work. Humans werent meant for this. Im gonna level with you guys, the idea of continuing to slave away all my youth to work towards a retirement i might not live long enough to see to “enjoy” whats left of an elderly body… Im contemplating suicide. No i dont think therapy will change how i feel about this, i absolutely FUCKING HATE how much time and hours they are squeezing out of the workforce. Any advice?
I work in phone sales, we had a morning call this morning. And we have a regional manager who has a WAY over inflated ego. We all completely smashed our goals for the Samsung launch week, just for this man to get on the call and say “I want to compliment and reward you guys, but when I do that you guys think it’s okay to stop trying and we are bad again.” Like bruh
How we beat them at their own game
As the workers and people at the bottom, we only win by beating them at their own. We need to collectively come together and start the type of businesses we want to run the world. Tie salaries of the investors/CEO/Board Members directly to the lowest possible employee. Bonuses need to evened out. What this will do is make those at the top have to consider how to make everyone the most money, not those just in the good boys club. https://www.reddit.com/r/Entrepreneur/comments/5lfy6n/4_years_ago_i_wrote_a_case_study_on_reddit_on_my/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button Tons of redditors have followed this business model. I think we can launch a service based business in every city in the world, if we do it TOGETHER. Instead of just talking is there anyone who wants to change things from the inside out?
Do not ever work at texas roadhouse!!!!
in the past few months i’ve been employed at texas roadhouse, i quit in november due to personal reasons and some minor issues with management and the way the whole place was ran and staffed. but here recently i went back because i was having trouble getting in anywhere else this time of year. and since starting back saturday of last week i worked a total of 4 days and over 40 hours. mind you, i am a minor and in my state minors are not permitted to work over 18 hours on a school week. this week had been a school week for me. i requested to speak to my scheduling manager or the owner/manager who manages everything when i first started so that i’d be able to write out a schedule that works for my online school program and my life basically. unfortunately the short time i had…
My former boss is sabotaging me
In my last job my boss didnt like me and i didnt like him but i never cause trouble and just minded my bussiness, i could sense he was waiting for whatever reason to fire me even though i was a good employee and did my job. When it finally happened i didnt even went against it because i felt so unhappy there. Now, i got a call from a different company to inform me they wanna hire me but one hour later the man who is gonna be my boss in this new company said that HR asked for references about me to my former job and that one boss said that they dont recommend me at all. This made me really upset because i couldnt believe that this old man would be that petty to try to cause this kind of trouble to me. Thankfully, my new boss…
My senior manager called us all into a mandatory Zoom meeting Friday afternoon and told us from Monday we would all need to return to the office full time. Yes, now 30 people have to find alternate travel, child care, pet care etc arrangements over the weekend and return to the office Monday or they will be out of a job. When pressed why we needed to return – with a straight face – he said he is getting lonely in the office all on his own. This guy does not joke, he was serious! What has been the craziest reason management has used at your workplace to justify this?
