SCOTUS is currently hearing a case which would allow employers to sue unions for damages caused by a strike

https://ballotpedia.org/Glacier_Northwest,_Inc._v._International_Brotherhood_of_Teamsters If SCOTUS sides with the employers, it would completely gut the ability of unions to strike. And it's almost completely under the radar.

Signs and features of extensive workplace dysfunction

Hiring family members in most decision-making roles throughout an organization People taking most issues personally Not really being able to understand why certain decisions are being made Gaslighting such as: maybe you’re not right for this industry, the customers’ complaints aren’t even that big of a deal, you need to figure this out Everyday chaotic events with people being angry at each other Leadership fragility and casual mentions of people who could be fired

Job offer, how do you make a decision? From East coast to Alaska…

Really struggling with this decision so I thought I’d put it out there for some outside perspectives. We currently live in the east coast and I’m fortunate to work for a start up company that’s a novelty in the industry, I’ve been with them 5-6 years and we’ve just built a multimillion dollar facility, we’re a really small team so we’re all in leadership roles. Workers showing up to work while sick

So a work at a bakery where we make a lot of bread and pizza. It seems like a bunch of the workers are still coming in and working despite having Covid or the stomach flu (including the owner who is there 10 hours a day). It makes me want to quit. I also have a phobia of throwing up, but I still feel like it’s disgusting to go to work sick when being around food and customers. Been here for a while but having second thoughts. This seems to be more common than not now. I know people need money, but fuck sakes, don’t go to work sick when you are around food and others?????? Am I being dramatic???
