I really hate when managers do this. It's a cruel mind game. You've called me into the office and you want me to tell you why?

France at this point seems to be better at being American by their values, than Americans. From labor to retirement. Hell- even their national anthem tells its citizens to point their weapons at the government. If Americans did what the French do, most days, they would be shot by police and terminated by their employer.

I was reviewing my paystubs and noticed that I'm getting my state income tax deducted from my company's headquarters in Indiana. I'm not living in Indiana though. There's no state deductions for NJ coming out. Myself and 4 other employees at my location are being affected by this. I reached out to the company HR and they said they'll reach out to our payroll company. This was on Monday. I followed up yesterday and she says she still hasn't heard anything. I'm assuming this is tax fraud? Should I threaten legal actions? What type of lawyer would even work on something like this? Edit: examine your paystubs people! Never take your employer at face value no matter how much you like them or how good you think their operation is. If I hadn't caught this early I would have been screwed come tax time next year.

Heard managers were trying to get someone to quit, and wondered what exactly would be the benefit of doing this, especially since we are short staffed?

You know when you upload your resume that has ALL of the information they could possibly need but they still want you to meticulously re write your resume on their own site line by line? Its a waste of everyone's time. Lately I've just been writing “See Resume” in those required fields. Call it lazy, but it is much lazier for the employer to need you to re-enter all your information so they don't have to click on a PDF.
