Would the same day be selected as the day off for every business and business only occuring on the 4 business days, basically today's system except with 4 weekdays and 3 weekend days. Or will there be a staggered work schedule where business still occurs on all 5 current weekdays and 1/5 of the staff has a given weekday off. This second method allows people to get things done that need to be done during business hours without having to take a day off work. Also if there were 4 official days of business, the same amount of work would have to be done in less time such as people getting outpatient surgery or seeing a doctor in their clinic, going to a government office like the DMV or Social Security where lines are already super long. People admitted the hospital might get stuck there over the weekend as some…

Union Peeps! Let’s hear from you.
There’s a lot of talk nowadays about Unions, jobs trying to prevent them, people trying to organize them, but I want to hear from Members. What has being in a Union meant for you, your job, your life?
Fucking fake job ads are the worst
I just need to vent. Maybe it was not even a fake ad but man. So i applied for this job last week, scheduled an interview for today, got ready and everything and then they canceled the interview with no explanation an hour before, I wrote an email asking what happened, should we reschedule and an hour later got the reply that they do not accept applications for that position anymore. Except the position they said they don't accept applications was not the one I applied for. So I told them that and few minutes later the response was “Oh we don't accept it for that one either” Like WTF???
I'm an xray tech at a level 1 trauma center, and the department is falling apart. People are leaving in droves, and management doesn't get it. If you have questions or need clarification on something I wrote, feel free to ask! Yes, I really submitted this. This is my last week at this facility, I'm transferring to another one within the company that's a little closer to home. I don't know exactly how many people 1st or 3rd shift is down, but 2nd shift fully staffed has 15 techs. We currently have 8 techs not including travelers, but 3 of us are leaving within the next two weeks.
I might use this one day

Company cut my assignment short
I worked at this company through a staffing agency. I worked as a medical assembler in one area that I spent 7 weeks at. I could tell at a certain point that they weren't going to let me continue and “certify”, or pass me on the machine I was already at, so I started submitted applications to different places hoping I'd hear back from someone for a different job. I knew how to do the machine job, and like any other newbie, produced some scrap, the last time I was at the machine my scrap count was 2 so I knew I was getting much better. Well, Friday I hear back from 1 company on a contingent offer and I accepted. I get a call from my staffing agency Friday night and they tell me not to show up for work today (Monday) because the client didn't want me back??…
