My boss is the hardest on me
A little context, I am an intern at an agency and have been there since June. I am still an intern because I work and study at the same time, and my boss wanted me to stick around so we found a work study balance/contract. However, once she took me out to lunch and proposed for me to change my role and be my personal assistant, since she was looking for one and trusted me. I was quite happy as she is a big deal in the industry I am in and it would be great to learn from her. Since then I have had amazing experiences and she gave me great opportunities. However, I cannot shake the feeling she doesn't necessarily like me, although a coworker I am close with told me from the beginning she really likes me and he basically spilled the fact she wanted me to…
Specifically talking about jobs that require referees. I'm a lawyer and have been wanting to leave my workplace for a quite a while. I have been putting up with the abusive culture for a long time because most jobs in my profession require referees. My boss is quite vindictive, I doubt he would give me a good reference. Has anyone had negative/positive experiences in the same situation?
I’m slowly going crazy
I'm Stuck in warehouses because that's where I could get my first job. I literally leave my college education off my resume because it's useless especially with warehouse work because if they think you're smart they don't hire you. It's standard behavior in warehouse for management to be pissy and nobody to give a shit or even try to pretend to. Top it all off there's this constant “productivity” hanging over my head. Somebody please just fucking shoot me.
