Here I am again to say that WOW I do not enjoy working “for a living.” I’m young-ish and can’t imagine going on like this for 30+ more years. Had to use two hours of PTO today to get out early because I was just crawling out of my skin. Decent gig, WFH, don’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth but still…. Feels like there’s literally nothing to look forward to in life (yes I go to therapy). I just work, work out, care for my living space, etc, then go to sleep. I do have some hobbies and volunteer in my community, but I’m SO exhausted when doing those things that they don’t feel very enriching. 🦕Very unfulfilled.

I’ve recently got covid, im situated in NY. Was just told that they stopped paying covid pay here, is this the truth or am I being made a fool by my boss…

The company I work for posted an entry level job at a higher salary than I currently make. I was hired for the same role 2 years ago, and the job was posted for 3k more annually than I am making currently. I have a review coming up next month and I was planning on asking for a raise, but I did the math, and if I had been hired at the new salary being offered, and my raises were the same value as the ones I got, I would be making 36% more than I currently do. I’m very young and still learning how to ask for things in the workplace and I have no idea how to swing this so I can be compensated fairly.

The HR lead at my job sent me an email saying “salary information is confidential so you should not be discussing with others.” I’m in Ontario, Canada. This goes against the Employment Standards Act, correct? Can’t believe they put this in writing.
