This is over a 12 month period BTW. So I have had 2 so far (went for my second this morning), first verbal and then I received a written. 2 for sickness bug (I work in a care home, one of the instances was a confirmed norovirus break out in the workplace). 1 for period cramp. And 2 for chest related issues (since I had covid that I caught AT work in April last year, my chest has never been the same). I was honest and told them I'd had boiler related issues and wasn't able to heat my house through the winter, causing mould in my house which I suspect was the issue and what caused me to have such a bad chest paired with how cold the conditions were. They emailed me the outcome letter and have stated that I am to have NO (literally none) more instances…

Bad News: The only place that accepts it is over 5 hours away from the office and the insurance only covers one visit a year. We had a meeting for this and they excepted us to cheer.
Yay I got promoted!
Turns out Global Manager pays $0 more than Regional Specialist, but comes with a lot more work. What a surprise
Just wondering for those with hybrid work arrangements (wfh and office), how much has wfh improved your overall satisfaction? I’m currently considering it and thinking of working from home on Wednesdays (by the time Wednesday rolls around I feel demotivated and would like the comfort of working from home) and Thursdays because I have to get to a class in the evening and it becomes such a long day. At what point do I resign?
I have been working for the same company for 4 years now. It is a small design firm with about 18 other employees. I asked him if that was the best that he could do and that I have really being trying to go above and beyond over that past year. He said that he could definitely tell and that I have been doing an incredible job. However, the company does not have any headroom to increase my pay any further. This is coming from the man who just bought a brand new HUMMER EV. At what point do I move on from this…
Forced work interactions

Since starting I have had some pretty heavy news about my mum being really ill. Which resulted in me being more quiet than normal, I'm normally quite a reserved guy in work anyway but this made me very quiet with my colleagues. I'd still engage in conversation but preferred to just focus on work as it's been hard mentally. Performance wise I wasn't perfect as it is a completely new industry for me. Which resulted in my probation being extended, I understood their reasoning and points to work on performance wise. Since the probation review I have had regular meetings to make sure the points to work on are being worked on, which is fine. Today…
