Writing a book and need a little help.
I’m currently writing a book where the seven deadly sins are a core theme. Each chapter (or episode) of the story is about one of the sins, and I’m trying to incorporate a subject that I can satirize. For sloth, I’m trying to satirize the “nobody wants to work anymore” mentality. For context, the story of the chapter takes place on a tropical island (which is a mix of Key West, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii) where the workers of a fruit plantation have all gone on strike. How do you deal with a long commute?
Hi, I got a new job in the next few weeks. They're paying me $28/hr., with benefits, PTO, and more. I am very happy to get this job, as it sounds much better than the current job I have where I will be resigning. The only trade-off is that the commute is 60-90 minutes every morning. I am very grateful to have this position, but admittedly I do wonder how this is going to affect my health long-term. What's been your experience with long commutes?
I work in IT as a first year
And went to target today and saw the starting pay at $17 an hour for a new hire. I make $18 am hour troubleshooting network and computer issues. Everyone deserves living wage but I'd like to hear from the capitalist supporters how this is good for the “free market?”
