Recital Rules
Hey. I really Fell like we should change what the describtion of this subreddit says, since i fell like this subreddit isnt about living workfree at all, maybe it has once been, but i wouldnt know. Its clearly about criticising the mentality that employers have towards employees of them only being resources and for people to remember that you should work to live, not the other way around.
But the work is real
My main regret is not quitting when I was given a written final warning in December. My mom always advised me to stay out until another job comes. I had been interviewing, applying for awhile now. My manager and me did not get along and micromanaged me for months. I started a downfall with this job when I got a new manager, and although I’ve spoke my frustration to his manager, they did nothing about it. I applied for other roles within the company hoping I can get under his thumb. But when I made major work mistakes, he was able to make an example out of me. I know this job was terrible for my mental health, but it still hurts because it’s all I’ve known for almost 5 years. I feel naked, and unworthy. I did well when I had different managers. But that wasn’t meant to be.…
TLDR: My boss is paying my coworker for the job I’m training for, that my coworker doesn’t even do. My boss is offering manager position that she doesn’t intend on actually giving. Instead she’s lightening her own load. Apologies for any spelling errors also. Phone lagging real bad right now. I’m not too sure where to start here, but I started working at this job last October. I work at a grocery store as a assistant front end manager. When I was hired I was told vaguely about the managers who came before me, mostly stating the had problems with the schedules and quarrels with my boss but never really knew why until yesterday. A month or so ago I was offered the position of Front End Manager, the position right above mine. I had been waiting in line for the opportunity as two managers before me couldn’t make the…

My boyfriend has been working for FedEx, and it hasn't been a pleasant experience. We live in Minnesota, and the truck he has had to drive these past few weeks does not have a working heater, and there are holes throughout the vehicle from missing parts. He went home yesterday because it was in the single digits and his hands stopped working. Managers have been unhelpful coming up with solutions, and when he was sent home early that was apparently him quitting. He went into work again today and his manager said he quit. Any advice? This situation just seems strange to us.
Bitchass coworker got our gc shut down
so for context, me and a bunch of my coworkers made a friendly gc so we could talk outside of work hours, which at first included this person. However she went and showed messages to one of our managers which was just us having banter but managed to get it shut down. so we proceed to make a new one without her in it, and she finds out because she has a “spy” and can’t stand the fact that people dislike her. her attitude at work is terrible, she openly insults other members of staff, she’s rude to us in front of customers for no reason, she will tell us the most crude shit which is not appropriate in a workplace, oh and she sucks up to management but her personality is horrible. in the end she failed to get it closed down, however we cannot shit talk anyone who…
