Is it ethical to work for your therapist? I'm working remotely with a therapist based in the UK. The therapist paid me five months in advance because I had financial problems, but based on the contract and agreement, I was supposed to work “as a social media marketer” and have a free therapy session once a week however, I felt that might be a conflict of interest, there were no specific working hours, and I worked additional tasks I couldn't do. After a few months, when I asked for a day off, they rejected, and told me “they had helped me before, and work was work”. I felt guilty, but I couldn't compete with them that way; now, this therapist terminated my services and wants me to pay back the rest of the money they paid me in advance a few months ago.
