Let's recap on a tiny slice of what tech companies and social media websites such as Twitter have done to humanity just within the last decade: hoard wealth from all over the globe, rarely if ever contribute a cent back to local communities hoard wealth from our physical realm into the digital realm, even as our physical world crumbles around us and homelessness explodes everyone is a user whether you want to be or not, everyone is constantly impacted at all times moronic business practice which must require constant creation of new humans to sustain and screeches when people are not pumping out babies scientifically makes us more depressed, more impatient, more angry, more sleep deprived, among a host of other maladies, even if you are not a user creates extinction level environmental degradation all day every day amplifies all forms of inequalities: the “rich” gets “richer” and the “poor”…
New career?
Hello this is I think my first time posting in a subreddit. I don’t know if this applies here. About 4 months ago I left my job doing social service type work at a non profit. The experience was somewhat rewarding and I loved my team. They were supportive along with my program manager. As time went on our workload got heavier and we really needed another person. The pay was good but god to be hosnet it wasn’t worth it. All the crises that kept needing to be dealt with. Other programs didn’t have as much crises as us and got paid more. Which is why I left and because I couldn’t see myself doing it any longer. I just couldn’t see myself continuing in this field. I thought it was what I wanted to do. Now im 4 months into job hunting and getting very to getting offers…
