So I quit my job today
Today I quit my job at autozone i apply here because I like working on cars and wanted to know about the parts that goes into a car. since I applied in November of last year, things has been a load of shit. One of the commercial managers would always say some slick things to me and say condescending things to me and I let it slide for most part and try to not have any drama. Yesterday she was trying to get me angry for no reason (for some reason) so I snapped at her and said don’t fucking talk to me like that she responded by saying who are you talking to and I reply you does. She also said you can’t talk to me like that I’m a manager you don’t talk to me like that respect me little boy, so I said I don’t care if…
Recruiters – vent yet again
I know that there are good recruiters out there worth their weight in gold. And then there are the others. I know especially in larger cities that potential applicants number can be large and no one is going to remember everyone. Which is why especially the larger agencies have this thing called a “database” Two recruiters at agencies where I have gone into and interviewed with have my details in their database, both contacted me via LinkedIn. My contact information has not changed in the last several years. One the two even made the “initial” contact. You know “hey I just saw your profile” etc. BUT: He set me up for an interview last month. So these guys aren't checking their databases to see if that person is already in there. Not to mention notes related to desired positions.
Fired for doing what everyone else does
My workplace has a no smoking policy, there is no smoking on property and if you are a smoker you have to wear a mask. No big deal, I managed to quit smoking and was super proud of myself and my coworkers were proud of me too. My supervisor got onto me for not wearing a mask and proudly told them I quit a few days ago. They congratulated me and told me it was fine for me to be maskless while working. A few days later I walk out the break room and one of my coworkers offered me a hit off her no nicotine vape. I had seen her and others vape on the property, so I said sure and took a hit. An hour later I get pulled away by my super and told that I would be given a final written warning. I was super confused…
As the title states I'm working as a contractor for a local company deploying machines, the contract ends in 11 weeks (second week of april) and I originally left due to toxicity of the lead that was assigned. Was told not to deploy certain machines. Got a machine ready for deployment with necessary installation. Lead took my work and claimed it as his own. Treating other employees differently than others. Basically the whole “shit boss is shit” type of stuff. It's great too this is my first technician job and it's just going swimmingly.
my gift from the boss (:
Post-Grad Depression is Real
I graduate in May and it just kicked in for me that the rest of my life will be working. I’m 22 and the next 50-60 years of my life will be spent working 200+ days a year, taking a two week vacation, pretending to be happy with it and then doing it all over again. It just feels gutting, like life was meant to be more than this.
Non-competition enforceable?
How can I determine if a non-compete is enforceable? Do I ask for a release or just lay low?
