Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am a big supporter of the movement and would like to ask for some advice. The company I joined has perfume dispensers installed in their a/c units, like it's a hotel. So all day round I sit smelling the perfume. The smell is nice but it's very very strong. So when I go home, my clothes, my hair, everything smells of this perfume. It's a bit nauseating if I am honest. I spoke to the HR, she said there was nothing she could do, this is management's preference. What should I do?

first day back at work. it’s shit
Why do we do it. I so want to not have to do it. Shit jobs, shit people shit wages and nothing else available that pays better yet
So this may be confusing, but my BF works for a roofing company and needs help. He has worked for this scumbag of a man for two years. He takes the winters off to snowboard as he has other streams of income along with claiming ei because you literally can’t roof when it’s snowing/icy so he gets laid off around Dec. he didn’t have any issues with this last year. This year, he told boss man he’s not coming back after the winter as he got a contract for a better job. He is second most senior on the team and carries most of the weight on site. Now Bossman MAD because he won’t have his underpaid mule next year. He’s threatened to “resubmit” his ROE to state my BF has QUIT instead of being laid off (they were told mid Dec they were laid off, ROEs sent in) because…
Felt like this Fits here better

Need a little guidance
Hey all! So, I’m currently at work and considering just walking out. 6 days a week 10 hour shifts have been absolutely terrible for my mental health and I’m at a breaking point. My question for everyone is I want to just walk out, but a family member works night shifts and got me this job in the first place and I don’t want their reputation to be hurt or something. Am I worrying to much about this? Also, I don’t like confronting my supervisor due to the fact the last time I did he convinced me to stay the last time I had a mental breakdown. I need to get it out of my head that supervisors even care, especially for a warehouse job like mine.
Lost my job today and just venting
My job was a WFH job, I intended to WFH while away for the 2 non bank days to visit my sick family however I didn't have internet access sadly for one of those days so I e-mailed the day before stating that I would be unable to work the next day as I would have no internet tomorrow, received a call today that because I was marked down as missing on the 28th it was grounds for contract termination, which sucks because again I was visiting family who was sick. I've never once used a sick day/holiday once and I've worked my ass off for the company, it's just frustrating how little these companies give a fuck about their employees that they just terminate my contract like that so easily
