My boss has told me straight up he doesn't care about me after 4 years of breaking my back for his business. He's taken advantage of me at every turn and I'm done. What my best way to exit that leaves me the best off and preferably makes It as uncomfortable as possible for them? I'm in the UK and have already been looking for jobs. Obviously calling him a prick and leaving would be satisfying but realistically I can't leave straight off the bat

Job changed mid-interview process
I’m about to enter third-round interviews for a data analyst job, and HR just called to tell me that, although my final interview is moving forward, the position is now for a senior role and I should check out the updated job description. Requirements are now much more extensive – I wouldn’t apply to the job as currently advertised because it’s so far beyond my skills and experience level. What does this mean? Why are they still interviewing me if they want a more experienced candidate? I feel blindsided, but also like maybe it’s a good thing if I’m still interviewing – like perhaps I could ask for more money? Any thoughts appreciated, I’m not sure what to think.
So TLDR; search wizards is a “recruiting” company in FL. Basically, they got my buddy a gig at Microsoft, and then basically told him if he worked hard enough, he would get a full time offer. Well, the dude busted his ass, and basically dropped off the grid for months, only to get canned at the end of the time period. This is predatory, and I’m sure they are doing it to dodge labor laws. With all the tech layoffs, I can’t help but think this may have happened to others.
He just let me in on how much he makes monthly and it’s about $16,000 usd a month. I’m doing at least 50% if not more work than him, and I’m making around $2,900 a month? How do I go about asking for a raise? I know he doesn’t have anyone to replace me and I know that I’m worth at least $4000 a month. I don’t know how to go about asking him.. any advice?
Taxes are out of control
This may not be directly related to antiwork, but it's income tax related, which comes from working. Nonetheless, I just need to rant about taxes. Last year, I changed jobs twice, with a brief contract stint in-between. My income increased by a lot compared to the job I had at the beginning of the year. My husband has been at the same job for about two years and also gets paid well. Every year, for the last four years at least, we have gone from getting a refund to owing. We owed a lot for 2021, but that pales in comparison to 2022! I don't understand it. My husband used TurboTax to see what our tax situation is. We plan to actually see a tax preparer because idk if what TurboTax is saying is correct. Right now, we owe over $4k!! It's not enough that 22% of my pay gets…
