I worked at this company for 2 years, regularly working 12-14 hour days. When I brought up my pay discrepancy to HR they tried to claim my salary was lower than it actually was. Thankfully I had my true salary in writing from my boss. I attached the proof so fucking fast it made their heads spin and they corrected it, citing that “they have no idea how this discrepancy happened.” Sure. After that experience, I decided to leave the company altogether. My last week, I worked Monday, Tuesday, and half of Wednesday. I just got my final paycheck and only got paid for Mon and Tues. I’ll be writing a strongly worded email tomorrow regarding the legality of wage theft. Working hard and putting in overtime doesn’t do ANYTHING. You won’t get promoted because you work yourself to death. They’ll just try and find ways to try and take…
Original post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/10j97gp/missed_out_on_compulsory_in_office_day_because_my/ The original post was removed because it was a text message screenshot posted outside of Sunday. The biggest takeaway was to go to HR with the text message from my boss and see what can be done about his behavior. I went into the office the next day and set up a meeting with HR in the afternoon, in the meeting I brought up the text message from my boss and how despite Monday being the compulsory in-office team day, my wife had an epileptic seizure the day prior so I wanted to work from home on Monday to…

Asking for a friend.
My partner left a job of 9 years because she wasn’t getting compensated well for her time being there. She’s been in her new position for 1 year. She was promised a very specific role in the near future. Her direct supervisor is leaving (unexpectedly) and the CFO/COO are passing those duties on to her with no raise increase or proper training for anything. She’s worried this role she was promised is not even coming to fruition and it was all a facade act to corner her into absorbing her supervisors duties. She wants to quit badly and I’m okay with that. We’re almost 30. Can the internet give its 2 cents and make her feel better about leaving or not leaving and accepting quitting a job at this age. Thanks!
