Antiwork or anti exploitation?
At the risk of sounding like a scummy pyramid schemer, why don't we all try to do something to improve things? There's 2.4 million followers of this sub, granted it's probably across the globe. But still. Something minimal like a monthly pledge of $1.00 could be powerful. We could create a non profit home-building organization. Create a ton of high paying jobs, build affordable homes, and not be scummy executives skimming off the top. That's just a random idea, I have literally 0 experience in home building. But maybe there's a lurker here who is? What do you people think? I don't mind working towards something good, but the exploitation in this world is sickening. I think something like this approaches 2 problems at once. We could offer more high paying jobs (no executives or middle managers to fatten up), and since we'd collectively be a non profit we could…

A Different World
That is all. It feels great to get some payback on them.
Some of my supervisors in the computer room were talking about how many hours they worked, and they seemingly acted like working so many days in a row is something to be proud of, until finally, my direct manager said “let's not turn it into a competition”. I swear, Americans just have Stockholm syndrome, hence why MAGA boomers say other countries that actually employees have a life are “lazy socialists”.
