IKEA can't find enough workers to open a store in Timișoara. They are offering 2000lei (after taxes) per month. This is only 100lei (20€) over the minimum wage. Some of the requirements you need to meet in order are: at least 1.5 years experience to be able to lift at least 25kg speak English willing to work shifts work weekends enthusiasm The average Romanian earns around 4000lei (after taxes) and even with that it can be hard to pay for everything you need so imagine how it is to work so hard for so very little. They really think that they'll find their slaves here. The article: https://reporter24.info/suedezii-de-la-ikea-nu-gasesc-oameni-sa-deschida-magazinul-din-timisoara-ce-salarii-ofera/

It’s that easy to be billionaire in USA
Currently struggling with my monotone, always-the-same office job. I was wondering if anyone living with ADHD has some jobs they like/liked doing, cause the burnout is getting intolerable, but I can't think of anything else I'd like to do for a living.

To be clear I worked as a nurse’s aide (PSW here in Ontario), so within the “nursing” department. I just quit that job with no notice today. A PSW’s job is one of the hardest jobs I know of and really destroys your mental and physical health. On top of that, my workplace was expecting me to be reception (portable phones after the receptionist went home because CEO didn’t want to pay them past 6 pm), be a defacto nurse handing out medication and doing wound care, be a food server, housekeeper, maintenance worker, counsellor(despite having zero extra time with our task lists we were expected to cater to a resident’s need to unload for as long as it took but not get paid overtime for that) and tech support. What really bothered me was that the nurses refused to help the PSWs when we were short staffed because our…
In July, my wife and I are going to South America for vacation.my schedule is on a 2 week rotation. Starting Sunday, I work Sun,off Mon,, Tues. Work Wed, Thurs. Off Fri, Sat, Sun. Work Mon, Tue, off Wed, Thur, work Friday, Sat. Start over. I put in for July, 4 days off. On this rotation, it would be Wed, Thurs, then Mon, Tue the following week. That gives me 10 consecutive days off, but only 4 work days I would have to take off. The supervisor told me I could not have 10 consecutive days off. The most they would allow is 7. I figured I was cutting time short with 10 days, but was going to make it work. I have 80hrs of vacation time for the year, and I'm taking it. Time away is more important than any job. I put for the days off months in…
So my manager and line manager work from home a lot of the time. Yet me and my coworker (we are a small team) are expected to be in the office every single day. She’s never even mentioned WFH to us. All I want is a couple of days working remotely. Me and my coworker are capable of working from home. So why does my manager get to do it and we can’t ??? so frustrating having to drive in to the office 5 days a week, when I can do the exact same work from home.
Final Paycheck After I quit
I worked at a Dunkin Donuts for a few months, and the entire time I was looking for a new job. I hated it there, but nonetheless I never called out and always showed up and did my job. I recently got hired at a new place and started immediately so I quit Dunkin without notice. Basically ghosted the job cus fuck them (pay was low and management and coworkers treated me like crap). I haven’t gotten my last paycheck and it’s been almost three weeks. That’s hundreds of dollars i’m missing. What do I do? Are companies allowed to withhold checks if you quit without notice?
