I got my current job in manufacturing via a recruiting agency early last year. I was told I would be a contractor for 6 months to a year max, at which point the company would either hire me on permanently or my “assignment” there would end. I don't wanna go too much into details, but even if I do this post will have to become way too long. So I'll keep it as short as possible. My employer(in 3rd world country) is arranging to extend my expired working permit documents for me. He's paying lots money for it. The documents will be ready mid February and he expects me to fly over there right after that. Meanwhile, in the conversation he mentioned that if some things don't improve at our work, the upper management is going to close the operation down by the end of the month.
