Get your popcorn ready, workers.
Time to start organizing rent strikes?
To me it doesn’t really make sense to end work? Without people working the entire would would shut down. No farmers, no healthcare, no teachers, etc. Is it about limiting work, or getting higher wages/benefits? Once again I am just curious Lol.
Again, there's no loyalty in corporations. Buy maybe Disney is doing what we all should be doing. We need to cross-train in new and relevant areas, take seminars (like mine), to learn new skills, be prepared for more changes and make ourselves Future(s) shock proof. How can I help
Editing for clarity I am an IT guy doing well in my career. I want to find a way to help the hard working ppl from this sub reddit in real life. Is there something I can do to bring about a change no matter how small. What can I do and how can I start.
Hi Reddit! After a lot of depressing searching for work and getting nothing back, I finally landed a pretty cool job as a personal assistant. I’m enjoying it a lot but I’m being expected to do some pretty high pressure tasks and as it’s part-time, there is a lot of stress to get things done. I don’t have any relevant experience outside of this job, getting…
“please dont” lmao
Management question
Serious question: Has anyone ever had a manager that actually made you better or gave af about your career goals and helped you to achieve those goals? In my entire career, I have never had a manager that did either of these things. It’s sad that people can be put into management roles, but do fuck all to actually help their team. Ah, corporate life.
I have been at a job for about 6 months. Our group is in the top floor of a crummy building. The top floor has about 8 offices, 4 of which are for our group. The other 4 are for a different group that also has 6 offices in the floor below and a break room that group has and can use. Now our group only consists of 3 people at this location. Thus one office is “empty” in our group. When i started i was in a different office and my boss set up a microwave, mini fridge, table… everything for a break room basically. Now after working for 2 months i was told i needed to move offices as the office i was in belonged to a group member who works at a different site. They may need to have her in on occasion here and this was…
