Context: I work as a web developer on a probationary status along with 4 other people. We assist on several projects by doing smaller tasks. Supervisors allowed us to pick tasks that we can do but told us to check priority of these tasks before selecting. They also explicitly told us to assess first whether we can do these tasks on the estimated time before assigning to ourselves. So it must be a balance of PRIORITY AND if we can finish on the estimated time they put there. We also have to report the tasks we took in a work group chat and inform the Task ID so it is easier for our supervisors to check. Then we have this coworker who complained in the Team's work gc. Please do not pick the tasks you find easy for the sake of doing more tasks. Tasks that was put from 5…

Start now or live with regret, the lies.
Unfortunately, due to the large volume of applications we receive, we are not in a position to provide individual feedback at this stage. No reason why. Might be bait listings for HR audits or Indeed pulling something out since it's most likely an automated response.
Problem with unpaid tickets
I work for a company in Spain. I here, we usually pay for gas, little equipment, cable, bolts etc. From our wallet, then we send the tickets to de company, which give us back our money, in theory every month. So we paid for whatever thing are needed and one month later we receive the money back. This method is ok-ish for me, but no problem. The trouble comes here. Some moths, we don't receive any money, and we don't hear any reason about that. They always says, next month you'll get everything. Which is not aways true. The worse time we waited for 5 month to reviece our money back and the cuantity was arround 5000€ for me at that point. I was new on the company, didn't want to make trouble and I receive all the amount. But, this year I was waiting for arround 4000 since December,…
Are all education jobs shit?
Was hired on as a behavorial support for classrooms, (make plans, attend meetings. Work on these plans directly with students) took a huge paycut from my usual jobs in behavioral health/inpatient psych. Majority of what I do is just subbing or coverage. Took said job due to personal interest as someone I’m close to works there and it’s been an unsafe place and I wanted to help out. Any actionable response I have to a problem is always met with ‘we don’t have the money for that’, and it’s just bare bones safety measures. Is there anyone working in ED happy? Is everyone just waiting to end up in the news for a tragedy in these instances? It’s exhausting and I think I’m throwing in the towel soon.
CEO’s need to be stopped
hospitality wage laws
I work at a restaurant and the owner is REALLY weird about wages. The tip out process is done by the house and depends on how many support staff worked so a bit of math needs to be done to know exactly how much money is made. The owner has ab excel spreadsheet that easily calculates this but he refused to give it to me. He has issues with employees taking pictures of their sales report or calculating what we made. It has been said during preshifts that you are not even allowed to count your cash tips until you are clocked out. I dgaf and I will go in the bathroom and do it on the low anyway. Lately I really haven't been caring and will do it on the floor. Is it legal to be forced to leave your waitressing shift without being given the opportunity to calculate…
I love my job. Im also legally blind so the 100% remote part is important to me. A manager has targeted me of late, but other than some minor mistakes that were fairly easily rectified, I haven’t really done anything wrong. No write ups. Evaluations have been average or above. I’m starting to suspect discrimination based on what’s described on the EEOC’s website. There have been secret meetings even about things I’m in charge of, where I’m not invited. Several other things I’ve documented as well. Anyway, I’m suddenly being called into a face to face meeting with the person targeting me. What are my rights? How can I prepare? I’m in California. Can I have a witness or representative join me even though we aren’t unionized? Any advice on how to prepare or what my rights are would be appreciated. I’m really scared.
