My boss told me today that I might have to move from my private office to a cubicle in order to make room for new people/ department moves. Apparently I was only in an office because it was free at the moment and my position doesn't require one, yet there are people in the company with lower positions that will keep theirs. I've been at my position for almost a year now and it feels like an insult.

This is both gross propaganda and incorrect. https://www.facebook.com/reel/521527123212956?mibextid=9drbnH&s=yWDuG2&fs=e
Asked my boss for proof that i spent a certain amount of money in food at the store and he let me borrow some of the food sheets.. as well as the ssn and pay rate of every employee. There’s no way he can just hand out sensetive information like that to a minimum wage employee..?
Hi folks, honestly don't even know if this is the right forum for this question but my job is taking away my Vacation Time when I'm submitting for Jury Duty as the reason… Is this normal? I thought that a company would have allotted time specifically for Jury Duty. I don't see Jury Duty as a vacation and have trips/time off planned and might not have what I need due to Jury Duty dipping into that accrued time off from Vacation Pay… Thanks for the help!
As the title. Isn't replacing me with someone else without actually firing me illegal? Is this a labour board thing? I never had 1 bad word said about me. I asked specifically to get at least 3 hours as they headed into the slow season so that I could continue to get a benifit from my disability income. And owner seems happy to do it. But it's been a month since they let me go without a single hour or response back to my texts asking for minor things (my roe, my tips, a shift) I figured I'd get a few hours on v day since it's one of the busiest days. Nope. So can I legally ask for the resume of the guy they replaced me with so I can say 'you ghosted me and replaced me with someone with less experience to do my job. I could've been…
The problem
168 hours per week 9 hours (can't forget unpaid lunch breaks) x 5 days = 45 hours of work per week = 123 hours left per week 8 hours of sleep x 7 days per week = 56 hours of sleep per week = 67 hours left per week 1 hour commute x 2 times per day x 5 days per week = 10 hours of commuting per week = 57 hours left per week 15 minutes of cooking + 15 minutes to eat × 2 meals per day (breakfast and dinner) = 7 hours of cooking and eating per week (GENEROUS) = 50 hours left per week 1 hour of chores per day = 7 hours of chores per week (again, GENEROUS) = 43 hours left per week Now that you've done the bare minimum to stay alive without ANY margin for error, you have 43 hours left per…
Nope. We are fine thank you.
We're required to report to the office next month. I've been home 100% for nearly three years, have excelled, doubled my productivity, always answer calls/emails, and I work less hours. But 'covid is over', so back we go, and yet we're apparently expected to maintain the same performance in the office as we did at home. I have ADHD – I did well in the office, but at home, I was significantly better, the numbers don't lie. Management doesn't care, and to add salt to the wound, new hires make $2 an hour less than I do. I'm also one of the highest paid in my position (supposedly). I'm planning to show up for a week, then take a week off, and depending on how I feel, put my two weeks in when I come back, regardless if I have a new job lined up. I have two college degrees,…
I work at a gun store and there was a time where a small fire started in the range, and myself and another employee put it out using the fire extinguisher. The next day or so our boss tells us the owner does not want us to use the fire extinguisher to put out any type of fire, but to use these bottles of fire extinguisher liquid and our feet instead. They state that it is too costly to keep refilling the fire extinguisher at $60 every time Even though they make thousands a day. Crazy how much people are willing to put employee safety behind profits.
