Mental illnesses and work
Hey guys I need some advice I’ve always been really scared to call out of work because I wasn’t feeling ok I’ve been diagnosed by my physiotherapist and have the documentation to prove it It just seems like people don’t really take mental health seriously I’ve read that my employer is supposed to accommodate for me where they can but what really is it that they could possibly do for me. “Ah yes, reads here the doctor prescribes less strenuous work” I’ve called out before and my boss has given me warnings saying stuff like “we pay you to be here so we expect you to be here on time every day” what do I say? Sorry bro I lowkey wanted to kms but I’ll come into work for you if you ask.

Long story short, my employer has a very, very toxic work environment. I’ve been harassed by my coworkers for months. Reason being is because my responsibilities is looking and correcting paperwork that goes to customers and audit, but since people aren’t doing their paperwork correctly they get aggressive with me. My workload has increased 20%. My backup keeps calling out. I’m being rushed to prepare paperwork for shipment, but I’m stuck doing over-corrections. I’m forced to work through my breaks and lunch to catch up on work. Like I mentioned briefly, I have been bullied and harassed at work for months. People have tried to throw me under the bus. Today, I got into an argument with a coworker because they gaslit me about paperwork they didn’t sign. I got sent home early because of my blood-pressure. Recently, my doctor diagnosed me with high blood-pressure, so I have to take…
Dollar tree
Jennifer How long did you let this go on before she snapped? It's obvious you have been aware of the problem. That cashier better be a manager. She came to work, the worker never cursed, she was mad as hell and still kept it professional.
Basically the title. A few years ago I enrolled as a PhD student and GA at the University of Connecticut. I saw some bad writing on the wall about the way students were being treated and I tried to join the UConn Grad Student Union. I had to write down my department and advisor on the membership form. I guess they reached out to her to confirm my position and she told me “my students don't unionize” and (?) refused to sign the membership form, so I couldn't join. Isn't this illegal? And yet it does say right on the grad union website, “All GAs, with the exception of the Health Center in Framingham, are members of the bargaining unit” which my department was housed under. http://uconngradunion.org/home/resources/current-members/forms/ I dropped out after a year in the program because, unsurprisingly, I was super correct about all those red flags I noticed early…
