Is it illegal to not tell an employee there is a 401k?

Ive been with the company for over 2 years. Full Time for over 1 year. Last week, a disgruntled employee started talking about her 401k plan. This was the first time it was ever mentioned to me… I think. I was never given any paperwork or information about it. I’ve been trying to recall any time it was brought up verbally but I do not recall any. The other employee said that’s on purpose. For reference it’s a small company with literally no hr. Besides being super gross, is that illegal?

I got a job after 3 months from a temp agency and they sent me back after 2 days.`

So, as the title suggests, I got this job. I wasn't thrilled about it but I was optimistic. I was gonna do sanding for a cabinet door maker. well, the level of perfection they required is pretty freaking unreasonable. It's like….I know it might just want to be perfect but having one corner sanded what looked like a half a mm off just barely noticeably in the light is just stupid! I don't know if lasers can sand wood, but they should replace people with lasers and computers if they want it so exact. Some of it I kind of understood. Maybe I could had gone slower, but sending me back after two days? Either their expectations are way too high or I sucked way more then they were letting me know about and they let me know about quite a bit. Sad thing is that I thought today went…

Should I report my former workplace?

They pay women less than men. Every position has a fixed wage which is different for men and women. Seems like a no-brainer, right? What I'm worried about are the women still working there. Very male-dominated place, more than a 100 employees, less than 10 women, and probably cause it's a male-dominated, the pay is one of the best they could get within this area with their education. For me it was a temporary place before I went back to uni, but they depend on it and I'm afraid it may affect them. For one, the boss is an asshole who said maybe they “shouldn't hire women then” when my sister went to ask for equal pay, and another, they are in a slump orders-wise, with people getting free days and constant rumors of lay-offs. I'm afraid they might see this as a reason to get rid of them.

My district manager lied to us in the middle of a business trip to Pittsburg, won’t cover for the hotel. Ongoing. (Already decided to quit)

I work for a sales company (phones and TV) as a team leader. All 12 team leaders in the region were to go to a business meeting in Pittsburg for new training today, learning about the upcoming post-covid policy changes, and to gain information from the regional manager. Two of us don't drive including myself (Car issues), my district manager gave both of us round-trip Greyhound tickets for the meeting. He also made a promise which turned out to be false, saying if things went on for too long and I miss todays bus back, he'll cover for a hotel and I can switch my ticket to 6AM tomorrow. Turns out he's a damn liar, things went on until about 6PM est, and he had already long drove off and left the state after telling me to wait for him in the lobby of the conference room once all this…

Businesses should be required to state the base compensation when listing available jobs

Not a range… The actual amount they're willing to pay for the job being listed. I've seen jobs listed with a $20,000 difference in the salary range. This is fucking stupid. There is no way one employee is worth $20000 more than another for the same position. List what you think the job is worth. If a candidate has extra skills that the employer values, they can pay more for it but it's so fucking irritating and time wasting to apply for jobs that have no salary listed. (I'm not sure if posted this already but I'm pissed off about it again today. Job searching is already fucking stressful and demeaning, it shouldn't also be a guessing game) End Rant.

I feel lost don’t know what to do with my life

I've been jumping from one job to another job for several years and I don't know which one to choose that I would enjoy. I can't do collective jobs. I would like something where you are alone or where you have more peace. I really don't know what to do anymore and what job to find. it destroys me when I see how some people are happy and successful in their work because we all deserve it to live this beautiful life when we wake up with smile on our faces when we going to job, but when it's been going on for so many years like in my case I feel terribly desperate with this vicious circle.

I came across my quitting email, AKA the most satisfying email I’ve ever sent. I CC’d my Manager’s director on it, and he asked for a meeting asking me to stay, which Manager loudly objected to. Last I heard, the nurses had some mandatory training, and 3 other techs quit in the same week

Advice needed: friend offering below state minimum wage for babysitting work

I need some help navigating this: a friend on Facebook recently posted a babysitting gig for her two daughters (10 and 7) for someone to come over from 5am-7am to wake them up and the them ready for and on the bus in the morning every day they have school. She’s offering $80/week which would work out to $8/hour on an average school week. Minimum wage in that area (Southern Oregon) is $13.50/hour. Babysitters in that area make an average of $14/hour according to care(dot)com. I did a little research and it seems that babysitters can be paid federal minimum wage ($7.25/hour) even if state minimum wage is higher. So, this is legal, but I think she’s WAAAY underpaying for that job. The implication of the post is that it’s a super easy job because it’s only for 2 hours a day on school days. My argument is, if it’s…
