If I get pulled to be a juror, I have a feeling that I’d be riddled with guilt. Any tips on how to navigate this?
for when I finally quit
I work at an org that claims to have high ethics. I am currently one of the top performers, but during performance reviews, somehow the boss who fancies boys always find fault with me (F). Her favorite tactic is twisting my words, gaslighting, or finding the smallest mistakes in my project while the boys go scat free. She can't find faults with the technicalities, so I guess she's going after the petty stuff. (Just to clarify, she hates us girls equally and favors the boys). So basically in the eyes of the director and the other bosses, I'm the performer with a lot of “but's” (she's good but…). So I decided to clear things up with the director. However, the director is more inclined to believe the boss than me. I even decided to take this up to HR but the same thing happened. To make things worse, the director…

The kind of thing I excel at. Anyway, I started at the company months after it's founding, but I was eventually brought to my decision through blatant disregard for safety, and due to the thought that if the owner is cutting potentially life-saving corners and not directly compensating me with the savings, then I'm being double fucked. I was making $22/hr. Pathetic for my skillset, and the demand of the job. I walked away without a plan. Expenses have been somewhat covered, and I live a very simple, frugal life, but ultimately I've gotta land a job. I'm a felon. I should iterate that I have an extensive criminal background, but it's over a decade old, although probably very relevant…
