im not a dishwasher i’m a cook but half of the dishes are my responsibility. i had an open wound at work and i got workers comp i am not allowed to do dishes right now with my stitches (haha i just rhymed) my manager said it’d be totally fine and they can make adjustments for other people to help me do dishes since im restricted in what im allowed to do. i thought “oh cool! everything’s fine then” but NO. i keep asking my coworkers for help and sometimes they do it but most of the time they just give me a hard time and ask questions about my injury like “WHY CANT YOU ? it’s just a small cut” “let me see it.” and try forcing me to do it and at a certain point i just gave in and started doing dishes with one hand only because…
Temp services that drug test
Why? What purpose does that really serve? My current non-temp job makes working a second job a bit tougher because of the schedule, so I was going to go through a temp service for a second job just to learn that all the ones around me drug test so I guess that’s out, plus the job landscape around me is complete garbage. Really frustrating timeline we’re living here
6 day work weeks. NO SWITCHING SHIFTS!
God I am so frustrated right now! Back story, my work place is EXTREMELY under staffed because my boss is a push over and never says no to the people he really likes. I have 4 co worker off for the whole month of February which has left our shop unbelievably understaffed. I have 6 other co workers I work with, 3 of witch are students that can ONLY work after 3pm during the week and 3 that work full time any time. Because of how short staffed we are my manager came to me and asked if I'd be willing to up my shifts from 5 a week to 6 a week and extend my hours from 7 hours to 9 hours (8.5 taking away the 30 min UNPAID breaks we get that I never take because we are only ever schedule with one other person and my job…
