Long Story short I got into a really bad fight with my brother about how financially things are harder now then compared to generations before us. He believes that is untrue and that it is just what the media is pushing. I brought up how 50 years ago you could have a wife who stayed home, 3 kids, own a car, own your house, and still be able to go on vacations from doing a 40 hour work week and that how now, you can't even afford rent with most jobs. Looking online at other reddit post's the answers seemed skewed. what are your opinions on this. Side note: This all started because I brought up how things are crazier and depressing today then they were 30-40 years ago, I was told its just because I watch too much news and that was also untrue, feel free to comment on…

a brilliant plan.
So I was just watching “the sleepy paramedic” on TikTok, and he told the story where he took a better paying job and the current job at the time gave him a matching counter offer. Y'all, he's living in 3023 because after turning it down, he notified all of his coworkers about what they could get as an offer to stay if they threatened to quit. Start doing this. If/when you quit for a better offer and they try to negotiate a better offer for you to stay, inform your coworkers what raise they could get themselves. Tell them to storm your bosses office to demand a matching offer to stay or they'll walk too.
This does not necessarily mean “pro-employer” or “pro-capitalism”.
How to quit my job after just one month?
Hello I am here because I am an overly worrisome person any advice would help. I started a new job that I absolutely dread. Its a super stressful job with lots to learn and very low pay. Its in a different field from what I went to school for and after quitting will never pursue anything related to it again. I do have some savings and my current bills are pretty cheap at the moment. I have had 2 initial interviews but still waiting for the 2nd interviews so I haven't received any offers yet. I just want to quit right at this moment. I feel like giving a 2 week notice is pointless for working one month especially when I still have lots to learn. I probably answer my own questions but just having a 2nd opinion will ease my mind. Sorry for the long rant.
Anyone found a way??
I mean how tf do I even escape the stupid office life…

Know any jobs that do 3x12s or 4x10s
Just wondering. I’m alright with my job (I work in healthcare, sterile processing tech) and I’m definitely thinking of doing travel work for this profession to of course double my salary. But my god do I hate how bottom of the barrel this job is to many other hospitals, most contracts are 5x8s and some 3x12s and 4x10s and in between but so hard to find and I can’t lie, (I work 3x12s, currently PRN) once you do 3x12s… it’s hard to go back. Thinking of working 5 days a week again kinda makes me wanna off myself (especially on 3rd shift ). Idk kinda just rambling, kinda just seeing what’s out there. This job is definitely not my end goal by any means.
