Celebrated 10 years at my company. Here’s some things to celebrate from the last few weeks.

I was scolded in the spring of this year for taking 9 days off in nine months “unapproved”. Aka not putting in for it. Mostly days my kids had to stay home sick… even though people took two weeks off this summer…I honestly don't see the difference…and we never fell behind schedule… but fuck me I guess… They gave me a catalog to choose clothes from to celebrate my anniversary $100 worth. I chose what I wanted based on the catalog. And I was told…I couldn't get what I wanted because the prices were wrong…and the colors were wrong….and I had to get the company logo on all the clothes even though there was an option not to. All based in the catalog they gave me. Apparently it's out of date. Then some of them came the wrong size. Whatever first world problems I guess. Then I took the last…

Then I took the last week of August off because we didn't have childcare for that last week of summer vacation. I needed some time off anyway. I didn't have enough earned time off so it was unpaid. Fine…i understand. But because I didn't have any vacation time that ment they wouldn't pay me for labor day….ok I would think the week without payment was the punishment…. but whatever…

Then 2 weeks ago I was promised a raise…. but a “small one” because I was taking time off without having vacation time to cover it….when I double checked my accounts it didn't come through… apparently the proper paperwork was filled a little late with HR….I guess it's starting this week….

Anyway happy 10 years.

Oh and today I got my quarterly statement of my earned vacation time. I have 9 hours….we work 10 hour shifts…If I take a full day off it will count against me because of the one hour.
