I just received a company wide email explaining how our PTO days will be “rejected” and we have to be in office on the days when our general manager is out. While I would understand if her role directly impacted mine or my team, however, it simply does not. I’m already over worked and under appreciated as it is, but this just feels like the straw that broke the camels back. This now means i will have to work Christmas and Thanksgiving week when I was supposed to be traveling to visit family. I’m not sure why I’m bothering even typing this, but I just needed somewhere to vent I guess.
