Was reading this and thought that it was pretty clear what the reasons are for them wanting to ban remote work. They don't want to lose a sense of control or let us think that we can have nice things. They don't want us to get too independent, even if it means we aren't as efficient. I guess when you have millions and billions, you aren't as worried about what happens if a company should tank. At least, your investors aren't worried. The leech just moves on to another host.
