Chatty HR

I have an embarrassing medical condition. I need to request an accommodation at work. However, the head of HR is a huge gossip. I hear her all the time talking about other employees right there in the break room. I know for a fact if I have to share personal details with HR, other people in the office will find out. It’s a small office with many people having been there & working together for decades. I recently started and don’t want any issues. Is there any thing I can do to that will allow me to submit for an accommodation without including personal/medical details?
