4,000 teachers are on strike in Columbus Ohio days before the school year starts. They're asking for properly maintained buildings and smaller class sizes… something that shouldn't need to be asked for.
The superintendent makes $300k a year, gets $9k in car allowance with 35 vacation days… and the schools are. covered in mold, falling down and a lot of rooms lack air conditioning.
If you would like to help our cause, please click this link to contact the Columbus City School Board and let them know that their offer is unacceptable and to support the demands made by CEA. teachers are an integral part of our society, and if they have to teach 78 kids in a room that's 85 degrees… our future is bleak.
