I just got fired and my manager aka CEO(it’s a small company) wrote me an email saying I will not be getting my final paycheck until company property is returned. Isn’t that illegal? I did not sign any special agreement for this prior to getting fired. I did return my property right after, but I want to point it out and maybe even start a legal action because of this. I have this in writing since it’s an email. Can this be validated by any legal professional?
