A company who sells product that “Boost company culture”
and whose software is “innovative platform for employee rewards and recognition.” Fires a high performer 3 days after he requests to work for 6 months remotely to care for his wife and 2 kids.
First they said ok to his request. A few days later they tell him he's out of a job:
No severance, offered him 2 months of healthcare
they didn't send him his Cobra packet right away so his wife had to delay treatment
Then they denied his unemployment
They also sent him his non-disparagement agreement from 3 years ago. Reminding him of his obligations when he joined the company.
