Confusing title, but was just given a 3% raise after my yearly review. 3% basically just covers inflation, but whatever a raise is better than no raise. I tried to negotiate but they said that was company wide and even though my workload will be increasing ~50% this year there was nothing they could do. My real issue is I actually like my job so I haven’t been looking elsewhere. A couple weeks after my raise was given, I was told there would be no bonuses this year, which last year were ~10% of salary. So essentially I got a raise and a major workload bump and took a 7% pay cut. And I work in finance so I know the record profits we’re bringing in. And again, I like my job, but wheels are starting to turn in my head.
